Can anyone run a Walrus storage node, or is it restricted?

Hey folks! I'm curious if I can just launch a storage node or if there's some kind of permission or whitelist involved. Anyone knows what the requirements are? Thanks!

Currently, running a storage node for Walrus is restricted to selected participants, meaning it's not open for just anyone to run a node without prior approval. This seems to be a safeguard as they expand their operations and network.

Yes, you're right. It's only for selected participants right now, so you would need approval from Walrus before you can launch a storage node.
